Radio Silence

Not been very well so took some time off to breathe and focus on getting back to normal - as normal as can be!

Just feel so blessed at the moment, work has been in-between releasing and awaiting new tracks. This has given me a chance to gain some new inspiration and just generally enjoy without stress the work already completed! Really happy with the final mixes that have come back from Paris from Addict DJs as well as mixes from Tony Divino! Looking forward to performing them live in August bank hol details to follow.

FINALLY figured out how to blog from my IPhone so now there is no excuse! When I am busy and working I find no time to get on a computer and the rare time I get to chill out I am nowhere near a PC if I can help it !! So normal blogging will be back on the road :)

Just wanna clarify I am NOT the female vocals on the new KFC advert but I am very flattered that people think it's me as last I heard it was Paloma Faith lol so lovely comparison there xx

Working hard on some new tracks shortly which as always I am excited about, let's face it when am I not excited! I just love pouring my heart into words and melodies and hearing the finished product blasting out of speakers it's fab and an amazing thing to do for a living !

Loving the sunshine and the warmth, the maxi dresses of summer, highlights in your hair, watchin rugby with no coat on for a change and boxes and boxes of strawberries yum !!

Not loving tan lines, lazy people who let their mums do everything for them, chipped nail varnish and cold coffee cos you left it too long without drinking it up!!

Catch up...... Had my head down for the last week or so..... mostly thinking, writing, taking things in and learning.

The biggest thing I have learnt is that family is wherever you look. Two new babies to welcome to my other half's family last weekend, both beautiful bouncy boys, I am looking forward to cuddles on Good Friday! Had my niece and nephew over as well and just to see their gorgeous little faces lighting up in the sunshine over some ice cream was the best feeling. Also had my friend's little boy over in his "gruffallo" dressing gown.... makes u melt trust me!! SO, life has been full of children recently and a lot of smiles, fun and cuddles.

There is nothing better than a little happy face looking up at you to remind you that life is worth living, even if its just for these little people. Children have no worries, they are not stressed out about bills, or wondering how they are going to get to work, they just simply "be" !

I love how they live life without a second thought whilst teaching the grown ups a thing or two.

I really needed the break, even if just to chill and reflect and it really has done me so much good. My family are the ones closest to my side, they are the ones who bother traveling for 30mins just to give me a happy face, they are the ones who scoff hot cross buns with me and they are the ones who crawl in my bed after a night out whilst my other half dribbles on the sofa!!!

More recording tonight, looking forward to sending some idea's over to Ireland and hearing from Paris too!! Time out done with, time to get back on it !!

Really not loving all this chocolate being available... its a dangerous time with easter fast approaching!! It would be nice if I could eat it all without it desperately clinging to my hips and every other inch of my curves !!

Really loving the BEAUTIFUL WEATHER..... highs of 26 degrees today in London... yes. !!! White bits, get ready cos you are coming out haha!!

My brother and his fiance have devoted themselves to this new venture and each issue of The Prosider magazine is a shining example and credit to their hard work, time and efforts. I was fortunate enough in March to be able to model some gorgeous wedding dresses for their "spring bridal issue" which is now out! The Prosider is a free community magazine and all the dresses, hair and makeup and photography have been supplied by local people in the area. It is just a massive achievement for all those behind and all the local people who contribute to it as well!!

There are some gorgeous pictures, somehow I have managed to pull off the whole "married bliss" look which is a rarity for me as I usually end up just looking moody in photo shoots (its a natural talent I have with moody music to match lol) I am just so impressed with the quality, the scenery, the make up, the hair, the dresses! Everything deserves a massive round of applause and definitely gets that and a seal of approval for me. Its BRAVO from the Ellenyi camp! I am so proud of my big brother Simon Harrup and his beautiful fiance Kimberley Devine for all their hard work..... totally pays off guys and this is proof xx

Really not loving aches from working out! My fella helped me work out last night, just a bit of toning and oh GEEEZ my thighs today. Best 10 minute work out I have ever done! There is no way that I could play Rugby like he does! His season is about to start and he is doing extra's so I thought I would be all cockypants and show him how it was done..... epic fail.

Really loving cute lil fluffy fairy cakes. Someone special brought some in to work today and they just melted in my mouth they were amazing..... my weakness for sure. Made my day you little beaut <3 x

WHAT A WEEEEKEND!! Scared a postman half to death by running down to sign for some contracts in my other half's rugby shirt and forgot that people don't usually do that!! I was just panicking that I might miss the postie and have to wait another week before being able to sign off on another project so I rushed down without thinking!! Then I learnt some new busta moooves from my gangsta girlies on sat night... they are teaching me to skank to old sckool chunes massiiiiive. ha! Love it.

Just had a listen to the vocal stems from Thursday's studio session... better than I had imagined which left me smiling like a CHESHIRE CAT that got the creaaaam! Awaiting news from Paris and really can't wait. Its like a very strange weird warm Christmassy feeling in the middle of April?! Is this how the Australians feel? Don't then have their christmas in april or something? I dunno... something like that I am sure!!

Next project already landed on my laptop... very funky riffs to it and the bass is OFF DA HOOOK.... so buzzed about getting down to writing and putting some AMAZN melodies with lyric. The hardest part of my job is waiting for mixes from DJ's and Producers as I just get toooo excited. Its sort of like baking a cake and wanting to eat it before it comes out of the oven. I just want the Ovens (dj/producers) to bake it already so I can have my cake and EAT IT. !!!

Really not loving having to wait. As above. Standard.

Really loving being absolutely fabulous right now. Reveling in my work, passionately diving into words, lyrics, inspiration. Feeling loved for who I am and seeing my own life having a positive affect on those closest... very rewarding. LOVE passin on a bit of buzz and get you all electrified.

Been in the studio working on three new exciting tracks for some amazing DJ's from Paris... check them out at the link above, their work is addictive, true to their name!! Feel very lucky to have written and provided vocals for and really nervous about hearing what they think of the work I am going to send over!

Its been great to work internationally as well as with DJ's from all over the UK. The work keeps coming in and I am loving trying to keep up to date with it all. Sat in the studio with my slippers on and the lights on low feels like a second home and the only thing better than being in the studio is being on a stage performing the tracks I made in the studio!!

Really not loving having to work INSIDE when its beautiful sunshine OUTSIDE !! Its nearly the weekend though and I might be able to stretch out and enjoy some of this gorgeous warmth! Its definitely time for flippa flopps.

Really loving my bed. Best place ever and I can secretly hear it calling my name. Its not a voice in my head... its destiny.

Totally excited about getting in the studio tomorrow.... really looking forward to it! All three tracks have been on repeat on my Ipoddle in serious prep. Too tired to talk much and need to get my head down and in gear to deliver these tracks is or some v amazing DJ's... more tomorra.

Really do not like smelly feet. Don't need to even explain that one.

Really really really really LOVE today because my new issue of GLAMOUR magazine is out.... yes yes yes. I am a total geek, but love reading it in bed or when my other half has the rugby on... makes my day and is like an old friend when I need some advice, a laugh or just a nosey at other people's lives.

Off to get stuck into it!

Smiiiile !!

Today started by me waking up next to someone amazing and will end that way too! I did have to make him a cup of tea in bed as he had a day off, but I guess I can do that without anything much to say! Feeling very grateful (again) to those closest to me. When I get an unexpected carrot cake and a lovely little text it always makes my day.

Received a new track from a producer and personal friend Fonzerelli (Aaron McClelland) and really cannot wait to get working on it! I love the sounds he produces, they always make my hips move and get stuck in my head for days. I am so fortunate to be able to work closely with him and to be able to have the opportunities that I have had so far. I am looking forward to producing something amazing for you to listen to shortly! Really not loving people who really really moan at pointless things... its not attractive, it makes your face look like it should be glued to the floor... its bad for your health and just makes people wanna close their ears and clam up from listening. More muscles used to frown than to smile... and smiling conserves energy... just imagine how bad moaning is for your body then haha!!

Really loving that Daybreak have got Lucy the weather girl back and got rid of that crazy guy who I complained about in a previous post. They must be reading my blog because as soon as I complained they started putting him in serious weather conditions to tell the weather and now he has disappeared all together which is just fantastic! Now I can watch the weather and actually understand the forecast and prepare my outfit accordingly!! That has just made my day!!
